As we age, we need housing that is structurally and mechanically safe and that accommodates us as we age, especially those of us who have disabilities. The aging population over 50 will also need safe communities, adequate transportation options and access to grocery stores, doctors and community activities.
Helping you make the best choice in finding a home is accomplished when we sit down and discuss your housing needs with your lifestyle, health, and financial needs now and those you may have in the future. This may mean modifying your own home to make it safer and more comfortable; it could mean moving in with other family members (multi-generational living) or moving into a housing facility with more support and social options available on site. It could even involve aging-in-place and enrolling in a network of like-minded people to share specialized services, or moving to a retirement community, an apartment building where the majority of tenants are over the age of 65, or even a assistant living or nursing home.
I am a licensed 55+ Realty Advisor who is dedicated in assisting older adults and their families with the emotional and physical aspects of relocation and/or “aging in place”. I have a profound commitment to connecting with older adults and a desire to perform meaningful work. I will guide you with strategies with the preparation and sale of your home as well as working with you throughout the move process while exercising compassion, understanding and patience.
