Valentine's Day is for the Littles

When I was younger, I put a lot of emphasis on this Hallmark "holiday." Now as a wife, 'meh'. As a mother, 'yay'! My husband and I don't do too much for each other on this day. We may buy a card and some chocolate for one another; we're more into celebrating wedding anniversaries and going on dates every once in a while. For the last three or four years, we treat the kids to gift bags with cards and candy, and a trip to a restaurant of their choice. For us, February14th is more for the kids than it is a romantic holiday for my husband and I. We tell the kids that we're celebrating the love we have for them. And this year, along with taking them out to dinner, our kids will have their first Valentine's card/candy exchange with a ton of other homeschool kids at an arcade and roller skate establishment. They are excited and I'm excited for them. We haven't yet decided where to take the kids for dinner for Valentine's Day, but I'm hoping for a nice, big, juicy, sloppy cheeseburger with onions, bacon, mushrooms, and all the other fixings...and Cajun fries. We'll See :)

How do you spend your February 14th? Do you acknowledge it at all? Let me know below. I'm curious.
